A rink built for the Gorge.
A full NHL-standard ice sheet housed in a warm, durable building designed for our climate. Ample seating along the ice. Locally-inspired materials. Built to belong to the whole community.
More than a rink. A gathering place for the Gorge.
The Gorge Ice Rink is designed as a year-round community facility anchored by a full NHL-standard ice sheet. Warm interior. Locally-inspired materials. Generous daylight. A building that belongs in the Gorge landscape.
Inside, the building will host youth and adult hockey, figure skating, curling, learn-to-skate, and public skating - the programs Gorge families have been waiting for. It will also work as a community space in the off-season.
A community campus, not a highway exit.
The rink sits at Indian Creek and Barrett Drive, immediately adjacent to Hood River Valley High School - surrounded by the fields, courts, and trails Gorge families already use.
When kids finish football practice at Henderson Stadium, they can walk over for stick time. When Traner Field is quiet, families are doing a public skate next door. When the pickleball league wraps for the day, the figure skaters start their session.
